 Cane & Spoke, situated on the spectacular KwaZulu Natal North Coast of South Africa, is based in Blythedale Beach, 15 minutes north of Ballito. Catering to the enthusiastic, adventurous or nature-loving individuals, Cane& Spoke offers the outdoors and fun on the farm. Cane & Spoke is the perfect spot to hire out for your special occasions; farm weddings, 21st parties, farewells, ‘welcome backs' or birthday parties, whatever the need ... ‘ ‘n boer maak ‘n plan op die plaas!’
Cane & Spoke is right in the middle of undulant sugarcane hills, bounded by the Umvoti River which boasts an array of birdlife, and is right behind the beach. Our trails and single track are open to the mountain biking community to enjoy at their leisure, while the soccer field up at Cane & Spoke invites your children and pets to run around and soak up the farm life. The rest of the gang can enjoy a cold drink at our farmy Cane & Spoke pub.
We don’t play games when it comes to mountain bike races and have the best variety in terrain for mountain bike trails. Along with eLan’s incredible Blythedale Coastal Resort trails, Cane & Spoke has carved the perfect cycle track into these pristine surroundings. The Cane & Spoke soccer field lends its self to an arena of hot showers, a bike wash area, beer tent, food-court, child-friendly, action packed fun and is the hub of events held on the farm.
When the foot’s off the peddle and the game-face is on, Cane & Spoke is the spot to be for a hen’s party, bull’s bash or special occasion. Our intimate pub and gregarious team, will make sure that ‘entertainment’ is the flavour of the day and will tailor the event to your party needs. Should it be a bigger occasion, we head back to the Cane & Spoke soccer field and set up, surrounded by sugar cane, space and festivity.
We are open every Thursday from 5pm – 11pm, offering a pub meal and a few cold ones. Cane & Spoke also televises most sports so join our mailing list for updates. Being flexible, funky and farmy is the name of Cane & Spoke game. On weekends you will be able to buy refreshments and make use of the Cane & Spoke facilities.
